Looking for a fun, part-time job with flexible hours and a welcoming, fully-remote workspace? Explore Magazine is hiring! You could be our next editorial intern.

Do you love outdoor adventure? Are you passionate about storytelling, content creation and sharing your adventures on social media? Are you a detail-oriented person who can catch an out-of-place comma and knowledgeable about CP Style?

Then apply for the most recent job opening with explore magazine!

This position as editorial intern will allow you to hike, camp, paddle, ski and more, while recording and sharing your adventures for explore magazine.

The job includes posting on social media daily, writing weekly articles and going on adventures to create content—so, in a week, you might edit an article by a well-respected writer; go hiking and film it for TikTok; design graphics for Instagram; and write an in-depth opinion article about outdoor adventure.

Sounds fun, right?

You’ll also be gaining incredible experience, including bylines in a national publication while reaching an audience of over 280,000 followers.

We’ve just posted this opening, and we’ll only be accepting applications until August 14, 2024. The position is a temporary, six-month, part-time paid internship from the end of August 2024 to February 2025.

There’s only one position available, so apply now!

Here’s what our most recent intern had to say about the experience: “If you’re passionate about the outdoors and looking to gain experience in the world of journalism, this position is seriously hard to beat.

Working with explore has been an extension of my passion for outdoor adventure and storytelling. This internship gave me the incredible opportunity to work with industry professionals—learning and growing consistently along the way.

The variety of assignments allowed me to dig deeper into my passion for writing and creating. I have come out the other side of this internship with an even greater love for telling compelling stories in the world of outdoor adventure and beyond. The experience I’ve gained has been invaluable.”
